I think it's really sad that Germany mostly stopped singing in German starting at 2002 (the last who broke the english chain was Roger Cicero, RIP jazz icon), I feel like every country should sing in their native tongue for Eurovision (or at least incorporate the language into the song, even if it's not a lot). I like my language and we've won with it before, I know English is a language the majority understands, but come on, singing in German more often in Eurovision maybe would also help erasing this misconception in people's heads that German is a rough and ugly language.

Anyone who thinks curry is over rated doesn't know proper curry. Because of imperial links and Britain having a large Anglo Indian population curry is now considered the national dish. Two ladies in the adjacent table said they had ordered the same thing. When the food came, it was a poorly prepared Jalfrezi (completely different dish). The two German ladies didn't know this was not what it purported to be. Continentals, like Americans, don't 'get' curry and haven't a clue. Being English and a curry connoisseur, did. I demaded to see the chef and demanded to know why they had sent jalfrezi when I ordered Korma (Korma is mild, yellow, made with coconut milk and pineapple. Jalfrezi is hot, red and rips your tongue off. Flavours, spices and colour all different). He couldn't answer my questions, he couldn't, though he tried, to explain himself, instead it was bullshit excuses and him still playing I'm Indian, my culture, I know. Not realising I'm British and I know too, as most Brits do.

I'm from Poland and it's not that XVI century building is not a big deal. To propagate an apple tree you need to graft them i.e. cut branches off a tree of a known variety and graft them onto the rootstock of another apple tree, in fact using this method you can have one single tree which grows several different varieties at once, handy for people with small gardens.

I don't know if it's a Yorkshire thing, or a wider British expression too. But I'm thinking it's more local because I never see "chuffing hell" brought up in examples in videos like this.

You are right that 'innit is a contraction of "isn't it", but 'innit has basically become a word on its own at this point: Proof: You can say "Chips are yellow, innit?" and if you decontract it to "Chips are yellow, isn't it?" then it doesn't make sense anymore. You can use it in all the same places as "right", which is what I tend to use.
